They did infact change ball physics (prove)

LongLiveBall
So I did before post a thread about the ball got alot heavier over the last updates , no one believed me. So to make sure I played "dribbling challenge #2"

From the workshop by french fries( not sure about other workshops) anyway while playing i felt the ball waaaay lighter than in training , i can flick the ball and it goes waay far , in training its very hard to flick the ball and send it as far as the one in workshop.

Im pretty sure that was the old ball physics before they made it heavier.

Please check for your self people and let me know try to flick it in workshop, then try the same in training and let me know.

Dribbling challenge 2 by french fries, cause not sure about other workshops.

If they made the ball heavier the first people to notice would be the pros, and they would absolutely rip Psyonix a new one if that happened. And Psyonix wouldn't do anything to anger the esports scene considering how much money they're investing into it.

The dribbling challenge #2 map is just that, a map. It's not like it's running on an older version of RL because quite frankly that's just not how things work. There is no reason for the devs of that map to mess with the physics parameters at all since the whole purpose of the challenge is for it to be a place where people can practice the game's mechanics. Heck, I don't even know if you can adjust the physics in workshop maps. Mutators maybe but even then dribbling challenge #2 wouldn't have any.

And, if the ball was heavier then every single ingame training pack created before any recent update would be completely broken :P

I'm not buying it, sorry. I need proof and not speculation.

Workshop maps don't have any effect on the car or the ball. Workshop maps show how the game is intended to be played. You are literally feeling the difference between shitty servers and how the game should be played.

I hardly believe they would change physics xD.
Believe me ive posted tons of threads about it in the beta/alpha days where they also didnt change the physics.
For me it turned out to be the difference in ds3/ds4. (which i found out about a year later xD)

Let's change the physics up right before RCLS.. see how they cope.. major Kappa..

Pretty sure RCLS ran a pre-version to tournament update based on what people had on their cars.

RL has changed - it has changed the physics and input lag (but not necessarily on the ball); the YouTube channel series called "Rocket Science" recently proved this.

What he tells has changed basically is how floating point numbers are handled. He doesn't specifically tell how.

I know some of you guys have copies of RL on more than 1 platform. Do you notice any difference in physics between them?
I'm on the Switch and I'm able to knock the ball across the field ok, but then I usually do front flips which seems to hit the ball harder. I'm only a bronze scrub, so maybe I'm missing something.

Rounding the numbers barely is technically a change but not a noticeable one(also stated in that video).

I go back to PS4 every once in a while for a few games and quite honestly I don't really notice a difference besides framerate
