Journey is beautiful, in graphics and in story, I highly highly recommend it.
Has anyone else played it?

I haven't yet, but you just made me google it and I think I might.

I really liked "Flower" so I'll probably purchase "Journey" and have a go.

Journey is undeniably one of the best looking games (in an artful way) to ever be released. It has kinda the same feel as Flower, while still being different, and in my opinion, it's actually quite a bit better. It's like one of those good running man movies you can kinda watch over and over again (A.I., anyone?). I've already completed it three times, lol.

Here's a shot I took on my third play-through:

Anyways, I really like it, since it's so different from anything else. I've gotten somewhat bored with a lot of games being released. They're all the same, pretty much (seriously, the only games I play nowadays are GT5 and SARPBC). This, however, is just different in so many ways. It gives a short, ultra simple tutorial at the start and after that, you're off on your own "Journey". I'm not gonna reveal what this "Journey" is about, however I can tell you it's pretty deep, and makes a lot of sense at the end (unlike Flower, which was pretty shallow, story wise (urbanization sucks lolol)).

I'd totally recommend this to anyone who wants to try something different. If you didn't like Flower, then you might not like this either, as it's still a pretty minimalistic game. There's no HUD, no point system or anything. Just pure gameplay. Really though, if you have PS+, then go buy it immediately.

Just finished uploading this video.

It contains a lot of spoilers, so don't watch it if you haven't completed it:

(Even the embed picture is somewhat spoiler-ish, so I've just linked it directly)

I heard about this a while ago. Didn't know it had been released. I may give it a try. How much is it?

Released now if you have Playstation Plus and it's £9.99

...if you don't have Playstation Plus it'll be released next week (I think on the 15th in the US) for £14.99

(Sorry - I don't know what the "dollar" equivalent prices will be)

SSX has nothing on this.

Only problem is that it's just way too short. It has always been the case with datgamecompany releases, but all of them are enjoyable and innovative.

Wow, finishing this in one sitting really amazed me completely of how beautiful this game is. It's truly a game like no other, but there's only one problem for me (no, not length).

Anyone wanna throw me a bone, maybe in PM, as to what was going on?

SPOILERS

All I saw was this red hooded figure (you) discovering some white hooded figures in what may have been a dream world. Then you collapse before reaching the summit and these white-cloaked characters look at you, and you re-awake with a scarf that's like twice as long as your body.

Considering everyone is praising the story, I'm sure I'm missing something.

EDIT - I just googled it and I paid literally no attention to the glyphs. Just thought they were for decoration.

Just played this game, I'm a bit late, I know. It was a fantastic game though. Graphically, it's beautiful, the story is pretty nice too. I finished it in one sitting, I'll probably give it another go during the weekend, as there's still stuff I've missed and such. I also love the whole teamwork aspect to it. Yes, you could complete the whole game on your own, but it's much more fun and enjoyable when you have someone. First time I saw someone, I was pretty much lost, until they helped me, I actually felt really bad when I had to leave him. I just love the whole mystery aspect. You just meet a stranger in the middle of the desert, you don't know their name, or anything about them. You can't even talk to them properly. But you (most times) have to work together to accomplish your goals. It's a fantastic idea.

The story felt short, but I don't think there's so much they could do to make that game any longer. Any longer and I think people would've started getting a bit bored, so this length is pretty much perfect for the game. One of my favourite games of 2012 so far, would recommend it, and will be playing it again for a fair amount of time. ;)

That reminds me that I need to get that trophy which involves having the same partner all the way through the game. It's proven hard for me, since my partners seem to disconnect at random (mostly do to my internet). But yeah, it's definitely one of the best games I've ever played.

I haven't got that trophy either

...or the one where you both have to sit still and contemplate :P

Good point. Guess I would not have beaten it so many times had it been any longer lol How awesome would it be to encounter someone you actually know? I also love the mystery element and how that you have to figure out the story depending on clues and sightings e.g. spoilers The glowing symbols are the manifestations of the wayfarers ''what I call them'' who managed to reach the summit .

Also had trouble with that one. Just start the Journey from the underground passage before the temple, managed to get the trophy when accompanying someone starting from there till the end of the game.
