I consider drifting to be only a show-off. It isn't very practical, but it is funny to do once in a while. I always do a kind of a drift turnaround whenever I score, my victory dance, if you will. Here's a small drifting goal I did once when it still was new, cool and dandy:

I use it strategically. You know how ppl powerslide around then hit the ball over. u know, its going the opposite way and they catch up,

spon around and hit it back? well i do that with a drift. I keep the same speed . with a powerslide, i lose all my speed. ill post a vid on this

soon if ppl agree with me

I've actually found out another strategic way to use drifting. I've noticed that if you drift into a ball you get a lot more height and less distance. This is great for if you are on the opponnents half and you want to set your teammate up for an aerial.

Cool drifts. Many special moves and shoots are possible with drift. A short double drift shoot just before to touch the ball is pretty cool too, not easy of course, like Ronaldhino trick invention. I will watch if I have video on this.

Hi all,

Is there any obvious reason why devs did not added the possibility to have a proper double drift (just like the double jump) that would finally accelerate the car spinning? (--> for more powerfull and precise shoots just before stopping)

This is just silly, everyone knows theres no one better than Nieza when it comes to drifting.

Just look at his awesome moves:

I personally only claim the mediocre prize when it comes to drifting. Nailed some decent ones might showcase some of em at some point.

Not sure if this is what you mean but you can spin drift your car in mid drive by pressing (left or right)+(square), then releasing everything else but square (maybe tilt the pad to the opposite direction briefly a little too, dont remember havent played in a while). a 360 driftspin just before a goal shoot just looks awesome yet reguires some precision to nail it.

EDIT 2: Why would you bring up a thread that is more than 5 years old? start a new one for crying out loud
