Hit "Play online" - "Find match" and there is is Error "You are currently not connected to the Rocket League servers. Would you like to reconnet?". And I cant even choose "Yes".

I'm currently in China. Thought may be its a problem, but China is not on the ban list. And other online games work ok, like Bloodborn of Destiny.

Help?

Unfortunately China has banned Google services which is what we need for our backend services. As you mentioned before about the "ban list," we have a list of restricted zones on the Steam page and our connection troubleshooting guide http://rocketleague.psyonix.com/connect ... eshooting/

Do you know if you have any software that could be restricting your access to the servers? Maybe some network monitoring software?

Also make sure that your router/modem ports are forwarding properly

If your router is port forwarded for Rocket League, but perhaps your modem is blocking it, then you may not be able to connect.

What is the situation for your internet? Are you at home or at Uni? There's always a modem since it is how you are able to connect to the internet in the first place.

My problem is that whenever I start streaming on PS4 (to YouTube, doesn't matter what quality I stream in), my ping SPIKES. Playing without streaming serves no problem whatsoever, it's just whenever I stream my ping goes into the 100s.

I'm on a wireless fibre internet connection. I stream other games which work fine too which makes it stranger.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Have you port forwarded your modem (range 7000:9000 on UDP), or made any changes to your PC since not being able to connection without an error?
Generally the error 71 comes because while you are able to make a match with another game, you can't connect to the game servers themselves.

Yeah, it sounds like it's isolated to that PC. There are a few methods that you can try, such troubleshooting the firewall, adding exceptions to it, etc

I tried every single one of the thing above and none of it helped with my connection issues to RL servers.
I am experiencing severe lag after resetting my laptop. My ping would be 4-24 on East Coast servers and I still get these random lag spikes and the occasional disconnected symbol near the top right of the screen. I cannot even play online with this as its making it practically impossible.

Make sure that your current connection is stable for playing Rocket League. You can check by running ping tests and tracerts in your command prompt
Simply open your command prompt and enter: ping -n 100 google.com
Check to see how much your latency varies and whether or not that may be an issue when playing

I fixed the issue. When I reset my laptop back to factory settings what occurred is it reverted my regular network settings.
I had my IP set to static before and latency would be consistent. Resetting it reverted it back to being dynamic, there was a time limit practically when it would be quite inconsistent, which for me was 3 days. (And i remember this also occurred last year right during the time I changed my ip to static.) This issue can occur with players with DCHP problems associated with their network.
I think this might be a major solution to MOST rubber-banding issues on players computers.

PS4 issue.

I usually play split screen online with friends on my PS4. I have PS Plus, and they don't. It's always worked until yesterday. When we tried to connect, it kept prompting my friend to subscribe to PS Plus. We finally gave in and did his 2 day trial, but that can't continue. Did something change recently so that all players need PS Plus to play online?

I believe that players have always needed to have PS+ to play online, though not with splitscreen. If he enters as a guest or on another account on your PS4 it shouldn't be an issue
