the reason theres different regions is because of lag issues because there are no servers, connections would be awful.

like when i play USm im only ever orange/red.
i shouldn't have to pay to have that constantly.

so its better to only play people near you, where my connection isn't that bad.

I mean, the reason why SARPBC is so susceptible to lag is because of how fast the cars travel and change direction, but you go incredibly fast in Burnout Paradise and you can change direction in an instant, yet the lag is barely noticeable, even when playing against people across the world.
